Nicole's cakes for cancer support

It’s Cake time! And reflection time. We are holding Tascott’s annual cake stall to raise money for breast cancer research with the blessing of its founder, the fabulous, super sweet and super resilient Nicole Falconer. You might know her as the long-distance runner – she does 100km runs – which is stunning and a result of a lot of hard work. Nicole ran 100km run last year to raise money for breast cancer research and again, to help Nicole, we will eat cake. It's what we're good at, after all. Nicole’s many Tascottish friends will make vegan cupcakes, standard cupcakes and Anzac biscuits. We’ll be donating cakes. Cakes, cakes cakes! And some Anzac biccies.

This year we are raising money for breast cancer research while supporting Nicole and Dave by showing them how much we all love and appreciate them. As Nicole says - badly paraphrased - don't put life off. Life is here now. Hug your loved ones, run your 100km - do it now.

Of course, we wouldn’t exclude anyone who doesn’t eat cake.  All cake sales on Saturday 2 November 2024 go directly to the Perkins Institute and specifically for the project below. 

THE GO: 
Time : From 9am until we run out of cake. 
Venue : Locomotive Station, Tascott.
Cost : Cakes will be $5 each. 
Please bring containers for your cakes if you’d like to be environmentally responsible.

When I met Nicole she told me that she was going to run the 6 foot track. Who runs 45kms through the bush for fun I said to myself?!?! She has done a hell of a lot more than that and left a positive impresion on everyone she's met.
