Let's kick this off!
I’m sure everyone here knows somebody close to them who has been affected by cancer, with 1 in 5 people globally being diagnosed in their lifetime (WHO, 2022). My Nan has recently been battling with Lymphoma and a colleague/friend has been undergoing treatment for Metastatic Melanoma Cancer. This has made me realise how lucky we are to have our health and how crucial it is to help in any way we can in finding a cure for this horrible disease. With that said, I’ve decided to take on a ~65km trail run from Bunker Bay to Margaret River on 20th September to raise money for Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research. The aim is to fund excellent research which is fundamental in developing lifesaving treatments and better diagnostics. Please donate as little or as much as you like to help this cause!
