I’m choosing to run for cancer research. 🏃♀️
This November, I’m taking on the challenge of running 3km every day for 30 days to support the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research and help fund vital medical research.
This challenge is incredibly close to my heart, as I’m doing it in loving memory of my dad, Stephen, who passed away in June 2026 after a courageous 4.5-year battle with terminal cancer.
Despite years of fighting this terrible disease, my family and I still don’t know where Dad’s cancer originated. Without knowing the primary source, his treatment options were limited to more general approaches rather than treatments specifically tailored to the origin of his cancer.
Living through Dad’s cancer journey showed me just how devastating this disease can be, not only for the person fighting it but also for the family and friends who love them. It also highlighted how many unanswered questions families can be left with and why medical research is so important.
I’m taking on this challenge in Dad’s memory, with the hope that one day other families will have more answers, better treatment options and more time with the people they love.

I’m running for my dad, Stephen. For the families still fighting, for those navigating life after loss, and for a future where fewer families have to face the uncertainty that mine did.
