Run for Research 2025

This year’s Run for Research is very close to our hearts 💙

The past few months have been a whirlwind of learning, adapting, and adjusting to a completely new way of life. But through it all, Huntah has shown incredible strength, maturity, and determination.

We are so grateful that, in under 3 months, she has been able to access an insulin pump — something that would not have been possible without years of dedicated research. This week, she officially started using her pump, and already we can see the positive difference it’s making for her health, her independence, and her everyday life.

Research is the reason this technology exists. It’s the reason kids like Huntah — and so many others living with T1D — can look forward to safer, healthier, and brighter futures.

That’s why we’re running. That’s why we’re fundraising. Every step, every donation, every conversation brings us closer to better treatments and, one day, a cure.

Thank you for supporting Huntah, our family, and everyone affected by type 1 diabetes. 💙

3K a Day for Huntah – Stepping Up for Type 1 Diabetes Research

In July this year, our beautiful 13-year-old daughter, Huntah, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. It has been a huge change for her and for our family, but we’re determined to turn this challenge into something positive. 💙

This November, our family is taking part in a special fundraising event by committing to run/walk 3km every single dayto raise money for type 1 diabetes research. That’s nearly 100km each—together, a whole lot of steps toward finding better treatments and ultimately, a cure.

Type 1 diabetes never takes a break. Every day Huntah manages blood sugars, insulin, and so many little decisions most people don’t have to think twice about. We want to support the research that will make her future—and the future of thousands of kids like her—healthier and brighter.

This challenge is also a fun way for us to stay active as a family, and we’d love for you to be part of it! 💪👟

👉 You can support us by donating (every dollar helps!) or even joining in yourself—walk, run, or cheer us on.

Together, let’s take steps for Huntah, and for everyone living with type 1 diabetes. 💙✨
